"Key is different" - keyless but no ignition start
Hi all, I'd be really grateful for any advice. I've inherited my Dad's fantastic 2005 LS430, but have key issues!
I have 2 master smart-keys. With one, I can unlock/lock the car using the buttons, but have no smart/keyless features. With the other, all functions work and I can start the car 'keylessly'. Except, neither key will work in the ignition (twist-prox). The car says 'Key is different' whichever key is inserted, and the ignition won't turn from the off position (even with smart system disabled under dash, and wiggling steering wheel to ensure steering lock isn't on).
Although I can use the car keyless with the one working key, I want to get both working fully, but Techstream seems to rely on having one master that will turn the ignition when inserted.
This seems to a be (non smart) transponder to steering lock ECU/immobiliser comms issue, so I was wondering about maybe getting the immobiliser reset with Techstream by my local specialist, but don't want to risk ruining the functioning key by doing the wrong thing. Is this something any of you have seen before or have any advice on sorting out? Thank you!

Thank you. They are the car's original keys so have only ever been programmed by Lexus but have lost their programming somehow :-( . All the auto locksmiths I've called around so far have said they don't carry the programming for these keys as the twist-prox system is so unusual, so if anyone knows of an auto locksmith in South East England who has been able to successfully program these types of keys please do give me their details - thanks! Otherwise seems a dealer trip may be on the cards, but they don't have any appointments until past mid October at the mo!
