2003 LS430 park assist system
My 2003 LS430 was working when I took it in to get the state inspection done, but since I got it back the park assist system has been going off randomly for a few seconds, usually when the car is stopped to turn a corner or switching from reverse to forward. Nothing is nearby to set it off. I looked for stuff like a leaf over the circular sensor things, but don't see anything obvious.
I have stopped going to the local mechanic and it's a 45 minute drive to the good one.
Anything I might look at to fix this before I give up and take it to the mechanic? Thanks.

I may be out of my area here, but maybe check the surrounding plastics around the sensors. My 07 Tundra with the parking sensors have had the surrounding plastic crack on the inside of the bumper and every time I would stop too hard, or go down a steep incline one sensor would be set off in the rear. I replaced the one affected, but now a forward one is doing the exact same thing. Maybe look up a replacement sensor surround and go from there. Depending on where it is front or rear, it may be easier or more complicated as some splash guards will have to be removed for access.
