Wondering if any of you have a simple explanation or fix for this 2002 LS passenger mirror problem? The mirror housing will not stay in its fixed position, the actual mirror still is adjustable with the power button. I am sure that there is a mechanism that stops the whole mirror in its programed position each time the car is started and the retractable mirror activates. I have selected the non-retractable feature but the mirror basically flops in the wind. Fortunately, the aerodynamics of the car and the mirror adjusts it back into position when driving at 40 mph or more. It's obviously somewhat of a pain to keep adjusted, and certainly makes you consistent in checking your blind spot when changing lanes. Any easy fix? Or is this more of a replace it type of issue?
