Looks like a nice car. (report said: Minor damage, usually cosmetic, including dents or scratches to the vehicle body.) Shows TB done at 60,000 (due to leaking WP)
Suggest making an offer via text (see dealer site) or internet if you wish to try to get best price. Perhaps call dealer and ask to speak with internet sales manager and negotiate lower price on phone and/or by email before committing to see car. Perhaps say interested in the car but need a lower price quote as an inducement to come in and if car is as described shall be ready and willing. When negotiating a quote over the phone or by email, if quote is given by phone, reply with email to memorialize quote by thanking internet sales manager for the lower price quote of XXXX to induce you to come in. When seeing the car in person, pick at any/all faults to use to attempt further price advantage. Good price? Maybe look here for guidance: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=used+car+prices&t=h_&ia=web

Spent some time in Idaho so I'd want to see undercarriage shots. Spotty maintenance records, has it had the 90k service yet? Looks like a decent car but could cost you a few grand in maintenance.
$9000 OTD.

What is the most desirable color combo by the way? I know it's a preference, but just in general on demand.
I saw a few I like but w/o navigation, don't care about nav but the thought of having a backup camera and you can use the functions easily made me want to have it. How much did the Nav package worth on the original MSRP?

Briarwood seems to be a popular paint color, but I'd say preference is pretty even across the board.

Seems that by far, the saddle interior is the most popular interior, but they are pretty rare.

About 140,000 LS 430s were sold. As the newest LS 430 now over 15 years old (first year LS430's now over 20 years old), in general, most desirable and demand is for the LS430s in the best of condition, mechanically and cosmetically, irrespective of color. (High cost to repair options are a deterrent to many practical buyers.)
NAV was maybe a couple of grand back then, but it is now antiquated (see pricing below). Popular color combos when sold new (04,05,06) were Mercury Metallic [silver] and Flint Mica [gray] exteriors with Ash (gray) interiors and Crystal White [white] and Moonlight Pearl [off-white] with Cashmere (brown) interiors.

Pricing:
A 2006 Lexus LS 430 was $56,525, with a power moonroof, a power rear sunshade. Interior leather upgrades available were; ecru ($1,460), black semi-aniline ($2,100) and saddle comfort nappa ($2,100); but only with the purchase of an additional upgrade package, and saddle comfort nappa was restricted to Black Onyx or Flint Mica exteriors.
The Premium Package ($1,390) added climate-controlled front seats, heated rear seats, and sonar-based intuitive parking assist.
The Modern Luxury Package ($4,980) got the above plus a Mark Levinson audio system, navigation system, reversing camera, and Bluetooth.
The Custom Luxury Selection ($5,935) got the above plus dynamic laser cruise control, headlamp washers, and power door closers.
The Ultra Luxury Selection ($11,320) got the above plus adaptive variable air suspension and sunshades for the rear passenger doors, a rear-seat adjuster with memory, climate-controlled rear seats with a massage feature, and a rear air conditioner with optical deodorizer.
The Custom Luxury and Ultra Luxury packages could be paired with the Pre-Collision Safety System, in which case Dynamic Radar Cruise Control was substituted for the laser system.
The Sport Package ($220) combines a handling-tuned suspension with 18-inch wheels and summer tires. The same package with chromed wheels was ($1,920).

What do you think about this vehicle? Vehicle not as clean as the 2006 LS I posted earlier, but $1500 less. It's an Auto Nation so price is not negotiable.

Sounds interesting. But, can't make a judgement without seeing and driving it. How did it look to you? What issue(s) concerned you? How did it drive? (There may be an AutoNation dealer fee in addition to the price for the car....)

It's 300 miles away from me, so I can only go with what the dealer described to me, he said it was smooth. Looks like timing belt was changed at 84K miles, now it is 100K miles, so I should be good for a while? Pictures looks clean, only problem is it's from Chicago, owner moved to Texas so still one owner, but most of its life were in Chicago. It has Nav so it's at least an ML.

Is 2005 and 2006 similar in term of reliability?

I would approach any car that spend the majority of its 15 year old life in Chicago with extreme skepticism as to rust. I once bought a new car there and after only 5 years the rust on that car was bad, particularly in the undercarriage and frame..
