Check VSC and track off alert
#3
VSC and traction control light will come on with the check engine light for some error codes. Feels like liability management "Hey, your car is not performing normally, we can't guarantee your traction control will perform normally, either."
Get your codes read.

I know it's only been a couple weeks but did you get the codes read?
If so, can you share what they were and if repaired, what did you do to correct this?
Thanks, as I'm in the same situation and appreciate any help.

What you need to do is to get an OBD2 code reader, most preferred is Toyota Techstream, next most preferred is a code reader that is specialized for Asian cars. These will let you read the codes from the VSC system as well as the generic OBD2 codes.
Once you obtain the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for all subsystems (ECM, ABS/VSC/TRAC, etc), then you can determine the cause of the problem(s) and follow the troubleshooting steps for each code.
Most causes of a check engine light (CEL) will put throw a Check VSC message and put the VSC/ABS system in impaired functionality, as the VSC/TRAC computer needs perfect engine operation and control in order to operate the VSC/TRAC system.

Code translations are sometimes wrong, especially if the software isn't specific to Lexus/Toyota/JDM/Japanese. But looks like your transmission is messed up. The easiest thing you can check yourself is fluid levels. Search these forums for how to do that, the procedure is different for 2000-2003 vs 2004-2006. If you can't figure it out, take it to a professional.
