Fix one thing, find another thing broken. Just had my lower oil pan gasket replaced only for us to spot that I have a small drip coming from my power steering pump. From the looks of it, seems to be probably just the gasket and line bolt.
View from underneath the car, black tube looks moist, but a droplet has formed on the pump
Top view, notice the fluid spray on the airbox from the pump. I probably didnt have the camera pointed right since you cant see the tube from this angle.
Could the leak just because of the screw and gasket or am I looking at something worse?
I would cover the alternator and clean the entire area with brake cleaner then run it a little too see where the leak is. I've never heard of the pressure like leaking but it is possible I guess. Most likely it's one of the lines connecting the reservoir to the pump. Removing the intake tube will give you a better look at the area.
Yeah I would guess pulley shaft seal as well, but can you show a pic from the top just to see if anything up there? When mine leaked from the suction line connector coming from the reservoir, it trickled down onto that black line underneath... which you do not have so likely not that easy fix (new o-ring was all it took).
