I own a 04 ls430 166k on it. As of 1-2 nights ago I noticed coming to a stop 2-1 it bangs into 1st. No faults or CEL, did a trans drain and refill. Fluid was dirty but did not smell burnt at all used specified WS trans fluid. I’m reading online that it’s somewhat a common issue and some say a reflash/replacement of the ECM is the probably solution. If it is the ECM does anyone know of a place I could send the ECM out to get repaired to save cost?

SIA electronics is who everyone uses on here to get the ECM's fixed. This is a common issue. I have seen you can find cheaper prices through their eBay page verses their webpage.

Has anyone diagnosed and found a stuck shift solenoid to be the problem of this hard downshifting by any chance?

A faulty solenoid should generate a code.
