Default Coilover opinions

Looking at Coilovers upgrade. I love the way my 04 rides, as if on a cloud. However not a fan of the wheel gap. I had BC coils on my Nissan and it was not a bad ride at at all.
what Coilovers do you have?
what’s the ride quality like?
post pics if you can of how your car is currently sitting.

thanks!

I bought a 01 ls 430 ultra with air suspension. The ride was "nice" but somewhat " loosy goosy". No comparison to the ride of my old BMW 735.
Changed to coilovers from Bilstein specifically made for the LS. Now the ride is like the Bimmer. with a lifetime warranty on top.
I lowered the car just enough to get a hose nuzzle between the top of the wheels and the fender to clean the wheellhousing.

I run BC racing BR extreme drop with 12kg front and 10kg rear springs, the ride is fine but the firmness is noted on bumpy roads, totally fine on smooth highways. I do drive it daily.

Out of interest I am looking to put the 10kg rear springs into the front and then get a new pair of 8kg springs in the rear, for $200 I will see if I can just get a bit closer to factory softer ride

height is as per below pic

the Bilstein part nr was 47-086401
it was bought from TH Motorsports 9/8/15 invoice nr 142397 for $ 1050.--
Keep in mind that by now prices have changed
One thing that was important to me was that the system was specifically designed for the LS430. All spring rates and travels are matched to the car.
The car rides smooth and controlled.
If you send me your email I can send you some pictures

I would love to have the PSS for my car. I don't think that have been available for some time. everything else just seems like it would be way to stiff or made to slam the car not just upgrade the ride and handling.

I too wanted to lose the wheel gap but retain the cloud like smoothness of my LS. After much research I went with the Fortune Auto Muller coilovers with the recommended 12k front and 8k rear Swift springs. Although it’s not as smooth as factory (you have to expect some ride difference) it’s still quite smooth as far as coilovers go.
