Default 2005 LS430 on BaT

Another one, seems to be a turn and burn with minimal turning.

A black on black UL with 69k on it. Look at all the pictures though, needs some work and is presented poorly in my opinion. Fresh tires and a detail could probably add quite a bit to the car though the rust spot and the dent are still an issue. Curious to see what it ends at and it's fun to see where the market is for these cars.

Nice car. Other than the headlights, I don't see how people automatically think a refreshed model looks better than the earlier ones. Are these ones slightly shorter? What is it?

I agree. Headlight shape, slightly different foglight look, 5 spoke instead of 7 spoke wheels, and LED with clear sectioned tail-lights. That's about it visually.

Forever debated on other threads, but I have had both 01-03 and 04-06 and I'm sold on the refresh. I miss some of the colors and interior ecrus brids eye maple wood of the early ones, but the subtle changes in 04 are huge to me. I don't like black on black, but if this one stays around 12-13, then you could put $1000 into body fix and detailing and have a winner. Seems like a well kept car otherwise, every option out there including Napa leather upgrade.
One thing that always made me laugh on black interiors is Toyota's religious efficiency and refusal to paint the nav console a different color, even on a black dash. It always looks so odd to me.

Could you give some examples? I've searched on this forum as well as other sites on the internet and nobody gives any specific examples, other than the headlights, fog-lights, and tailights. They act like visually it's a whole new car but I don't see any differences like in height or angles.

There isn't really much difference.

Tons of threads with examples
"Height and angles: are same except for the headlights / taillights and hood/etc that fit the newer light structures
6 speed transmission in the later model many other smaller differences, I noted a few other links in this thread https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...04-models.html

This car is already at more than I thought it would go for considering that it needs tires (age), battery (age), 90k service (age), and a full detail in and out... not to mention the imperfections in the body.

Oh well, the market has spoken and I bet this ends around $16,000.

Wow, ended at $22,430. That's insane.

That is insane. I see a ton of 430's on CarGurus that don't have much more mileage than that for like 40% of that price.

I guess being an Ultra Luxury accounts for quite a bit but still. A 17 year old car lol

Prices have been crazy across the board for everything these days! A great time to sell if you don't need a replacement vehicle.
