"Clear" Ceramic Tint on Windshield - Good or Bad Idea?
I'm considering getting "clear" ceramic tint on my windshield to reduce the heat coming into the car and to reduce UVA light entering the cabin.
A number of very good local tint shops offer this service.
If you have had this done or decided not to have this done, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Cheers!

had windshield tinted as part of tint job. I like it and as it was explained to me a lot of heat would come in an untinted windshield.

I have my windshield tinted with 70% ceramic and there is some reflection but no more than before from what I can remember. Overall I am happy with it and hope it helps preserve the dash. It looks great from the outside too.

All my vehicles have 5% all around and 35% on the windshield. The windshield tint does help and make a difference especially rainy nights when traveling in a well lit suburban area. Find someone with a tinted windshield and go for a ride night/day and see how you like it.

I would do so, but I don't think it's allowed in my country or state (Vic, Australia). I have the glare coming from the dash, which actually hinders my visibility on the road. I am now considering one of those dash mats, but personally I hate the look of them.

Not the LS, but I have 70% ceramic tint on my GX windshield. It’s justttt dark enough to take away the edge on sunny days when I forget my sunglasses and takes away some of the heat coming in from the sun. It doesn’t hinder visibility at night or in the rain. Worthwhile mod I think.
