I know I am going to get a lot of static from some people, but I spent 5 evenings working on getting my EVAP system out by lowering the rear differential and removing the passenger side axle. No dice. Several bolts were rusted solid, the diff would NOT lower down because of it, and the axle was acting like it had a locking pin inside the diff and would not pull out. I am an industrial maintenance tech by trade, so I am pretty strong and good at taking things apart and putting them back together. These things did not want to come out. So, after 5 evenings of very little progress, I took a dremel to the top side of the trunk and cut the hump out and removed the EVAP in about 10 minutes total. I am not saying this is the best course, but it worked and I have had no issues since.

Raw fuel smell from rear of car could also be the overfill check valve - pics and details at https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc4...eck-valve.html - valve part number 77390-50020 and gasket 77177-33010. I've been contemplating doing this for the past 2-3 years, but my interim solution to eliminate the raw fuel smell is to not fill the tank past half. When fuel tank is full, the smell is noticeable in enclosed spaces.
Other possible leak spots are one or more tubes from the fuel filler neck down to the tank (see parts 77201-50080 and 77213-50020) and the fuel cap gasket 77316-16010.
