LS460 P0353 and traction light on
After doing both valve cover gaskets, oil pump seals and spark plugs tube seals my 2008 LS460 cracked fine but after a few minutes threw a P0353 which is ignition coil c.
Here's what I observed:
1. After pulling the ECU fuses and disconnecting the neg terminal car starts fine and about 2 -4 seconds in throws the code and starts to miss. Traction Control light also came on with this problem (not sure of the two are related)
2. When I clear the check engine light car runs fine for about 2 to 4 seconds then throws the code again.
Here's what I tried so far:
1. Swapping the coil for cylinder 5 results in the same code. So I believe the coil is good.
2. Swapping the spark plug with cylinder 5 results in the same code. So I believe the plug is good.
3. Cleaning the connector results in the same code.
Is there a way to test the connector? Or are there any suggestions. I did a search among the forums but didn't quite find a situation like this. Apologies if I missed it. I will remove thread if redundant.
Thanks!

Yes, there is a procedure in the manufacture manual, however, it is long...
1st pin to the body ground should have 11-14V, 4th pin to the body ground should resistance below 1Ohm. 2nd and 3rd pins connected directly to the ECU and should have very specific resistance.

Thank you this is a good start. I was able to find the manual and the procedure. Will give that a try this week and see where I come up!
Thanks!
Thanks!
