I would probably buy that 430 because of the much lower miles, how much is it?

IMHO that is a lot of money for a car that old but it's your money. Get it inspected at a lexus dealership or a reputable lexus custom shop. Personally I'd counter-offer for 12K and go from there. GL!

Interested to see how you do. $10k from $15k is a big step

I agree with Steve, it is a real lowball offer, just be prepared to bargain up a little. Decide on your bottom line price and also be prepared to walk (but leave your phone number with them as they may reconsider).

As far as cash, that is a less than zero incentive to a dealer. They much prefer you finance through them because it is a profit center. Check if there is any prepayment penalty. If there isn't, you can finance, pay 1 or 2 months, and then pay off the loan.

Financing is a smart negotiation "secret" that may get you closer to 10k. As stated, cash is a negative negotiation tactic.

The finance "trick" only works if you finance through the seller. They earn a fee from the lender. If you come in with a loan from elsewhere, there's no profit for seller. Just wanted to be very clear so there's no misunderstanding why this can help. It doesn't matter what the rate is as long as there's no prepayment penalty.
