My front door panels develops cracks in handle/arm rest area. After a brief search, I found a number of 2013-17 door panels $50-100 cheaper than for 2009-12. Unlike my panels, the set I got from 2016 LS460 had leather handles, OEM LED at the bottom and improved noise seal. Some basic visual comparison showed that panels have identical mounting system even wiring is the same, however, wiring harness part numbers are different. But I checked wire colors and pins and it was identical. The only part that didn't fit is the top part of the panel which was somewhat disappointing.

After receiving the panels and some disassembly, I transferred wiring, top part of the panel with wood trim and seat switches to 2013+ panels, needless to say that the fit was Lexus. It took me about 2 hours to replace left side and around 30 minutes for the right side. The total price, I paid, is $382.

It looks great and you now rest your arm on leather. Sounds like the labor was pleasurable and the costs were quite reasonable. Nice to know that things fit.
