Denso 210-1203 Rockauto probably has the best price

Yeah I was a little enraged that I did the job 4 times for free.....I will say though if you ever need the alternator replaced on a GM 3.6 V6 I can replace it insanely fast lol!
Rockauto Denso branded alternators have never let me down, I like them and use them on my own cars where applicable.

Took a look, connection a-top the alternator was loose/moveable. Tightened it down, fingers crossed, letting her run for a minute. I haven’t gotten any messages this far

Got a voltmeter or multimeter? Measure voltage across the battery and see if it climbs or drops. Easy, simple charging system diag.
Careful with those loose feed and ground wires! Can go south real quick if not tightened and torqued! Awful lot of ecus, just sayin'.

I wouldn't rush to any conclusions yet. You did it before and an issue showed up. I salute you for trying but you can see that it's not an easy fix. Anyway, good luck and the dealer is still an option.

You’re right, it’s definitely not an easy fix. Turns out the previous alternator was bad, as it failed the test. Popped a new one in, tested everything, all was well. Lasted for about a week, and now I’m getting random messages, “check brake/SRS/Parking Brake system”
loss of power steering, lights brighten with RPM increase. But no check generator message or even a battery light. I know I’ll be told to go get a voltage check so I’ll do that before jumping to conclusions. This alternator was installed by a mechanic friend of mine who cleaned the terminals and grounds.
This is a headache 🤕
