I had only one headlight that was high and it was like that when I got it, I've done a lot of adjusting of the height sensors to get it where I want it and that didn't noticeably change the h/light height.
Sometimes I wonder if the auto levelling is just a gimmick...why would there be a manual adjustment on a car that has 2 levels ? moving up or down about 7/8ths of an inch shouldn't change much if any. It should still be level
Also my shocks have never been changed.
I am guessing, but I think the headlight leveling is based on vehicle speed and not height. They didn't move after I put in new shocks. They were low before and low after.
I followed the manual and adjusted both. Horrible decision. Should have just done vertical only. LOL
I'm betting the guy who had it before me lowered them. I doubt factory would have had them that low. They were low enough that putting on the fog lights wasn't noticeable.

Maybe Striker will tell us what his headlights do when he's going down a steep hill at 130mph ?? as far as I can tell mine never move except when cornering.
Tried early this morning before it got light, going slow over a speed bump while facing a commercial window with a metal shutter. Apart from the lights raising and lowering with the car there was no auto levelling in the reverse direction like I'd expect.

They do move up and down noticeably both at speed and over speed bumps, watch the borders of the light path and you can see it. It's very fun to watch it work and when the car is first started to do it's little "sweep"
Yup, Gerf, maybe a ride with ts attached monitoring AFS data or something? Just to be fully OCD about it.
Mine does the little dance when the lights come on, I turned that off today because it's useless like having pockets in your gitch. According to the owners manual it only compensates when you have too many bodies in the trunk.
