well the incorrect o-rings were suggested as an alternative on this very forum, and might have actually worked the first time since the leak was the cap. I personally had never experienced a cracked filter cover before, so definitely a new experience. This LS460 is my first Lexus that I've done any real work to (third total).
Bought it non-running from an impound auction. Abused hard at 214k. Battery installed backwards, main engine fuse block 1 had 2 blown, all 4 others had a combined 14 blown fuses. Housing leak, cam oil valve clogged, pretty much every balljoint. It's not worth the money spent on it, but I'm a masochist and watch too much Roadkill.
I appreciate your input and help. I did come across as arrogant. I'm definitely a bit naive when working on a new vehicle.
