AC not coming on automatically
Purchased a 2012 LS460. After my car sits for awhile I have to turn the AC on manually and temp resets to 75. Will come on automatically after short stops however. I've read a lot of the issues and mine seems a bit different. I've checked the filter and the 'door' will operate; however, does not go up and down when I press the recirculate button. When I shut the car off I noticed the door on the filter will go up and down a few times on its own before stopping. Do I need a servo motor or is there a re-set. Again, my filter door does not seem to be damaged. thank you. steve

Get errors codes associated with the AC.

As above, getting codes is your next step. Also, car sits with a weak battery, creates low voltage, creates problems like this and for other computers in the car. A good battery should hold voltage for a week, no problem. But there are systems that stay on while parked. Have battery load tested and check charging system. The battery can be low on volts and still start the car. A battery should be good for 3 years, some last longer. Loose battery cables, corrosion can also do this. Also, a known issue is the drivers door plunger light switch shorting, causing low voltage. Servo motor can work but there's a plastic gear that gets stripped. So many possibilities. Have you had any service done to car since purchase? Go to drivers.lexus.com and register, then type in VIN. You can look at repair and maintenance history, sometimes there's a clue.

Take a multimeter, get to the wires on back of switch. Check for voltages on ground with switch depressed. If bad , replace switch. I suppose one could squirt connector cleaner into switch and hope. But that's a bandage, not a fix. Personally, after going through the labor of accessing switch, I'd just replace it.
