so now the seal on the diff for the axle shaft is different size from the 07 that I have. So I will be ordering one of the same year of the replacement axles I’m just hoping it’s the same diameter for the seal to fit and fit properly and the new ones are specific left and right side than from the 07 that where the same for both sides

What one would expect to be a simple job, turns to be anything but. Hope it works out.

Seals might be different but rear axles are all the same from 2007 to 2020, at least, according to the Lexus catalog.

Yes, there are 3 different seals, one kind for 2007 only and the other kind is for 2007-2017. Entering your VIN should give the part number you need.

The sure way to get everything to fit is enter your vin number and get all '07 stuff matched to the vin. It's unlikely anyone here or at Lexus parts counter has ever tried to mix and match. Maybe someone will advise you, but you're taking a chance until the parts arrive and you confirm they fit. Just seems like common sense to me. IMHO. Hope I'm wrong.

what’s the common sense part I’m upgrading the axles to the newer updated ones so hence why I got 2014 ones I’m just asking if I should get the seals to match the axle year witch that’s what I am thinking or getting the seals from the original vin match car 2007. That’s all. just want clarification thank you no disrespect thank you for all the imput from everyone.

You should get seals that fit your vehicle! You can have either "old" style or new style, according to the catalog. In order to guarantee that you will have to use the VIN. I guess, other not so accurate way would be to compare the left and right seals.
