Default Axle boot part number

I have a 2007 Lexus ls460 base that I want to replace the rear outer cv axle boot. I’m looking for the kit but all it’s showing me is for the front awd models. My question is the boot kit the same for the rwd. Also if I wanted to do the inners boots as well are the boots the same also from the front awd? Thanks in advance

Punch your VIN into this site
https://www.japan-parts.eu

I don't see any separate axle parts try Rockauto

Looks like there's no OEM boot kit for rear axles of RWD. Let me dig some more.

I know everything I see is for awd and such I would like to find oem boot kit if possible but nothing only oem kit is for awd that’s why I am asking if it can work for the rear axles.

Unlikely it will work for rears.

Just checked aftermarket options - none, just whole reman axles. Rather cheap tho - 100ish per side for complete assy. Hmm. Would I trust aftermarket shafts? To an extent. I used GSP brand before on other cars and it was fine.

All aftermarket axles are different levels of crap. At best they will work well enough and not spontaneously rust when humidity is above 60%. I've tried literally every aftermarket brand.

I replaced a set of cardone hd axles on a Subaru this summer and was surprised at the look of quality they had, don't know how they'll hold up though. Cheap too.

I got a used set of low millage oem axles but in shipment one of the boots got torn that’s why I want to replace the boot. I rather do oem used axles than cheap aftermarket ones. That’s just me though.

You have to take both boots off to change the outer but usually a kit comes with both. if you can find one.

There is no OEM kit. Get a low mileage shaft off 2013+ and replace the problematic axle.

Contact the seller and ask for another undamaged axel and/or a return since there is no boot kit available.
