Hi guys so someone was loading a heavy bag into my trunk and hit that metal loop that holds down the trunk. Does someone have pictures to show where does that thing attach to ? Does the hook attach to the metal body or plastic trim etc if someone has pics of the trim removed (if it’s attached to the body) or the back of the plastic trim if it’s attached to the trim, let me know.

Are you talking about the loop down inside the bottom trim peace? That metal loop is protected down inside that trim peace. The trunk lid goes down inside that slot and clamps around the metal loop. Just as a side note were you using your LS as a pickup again?

I found out that the metal loop is held down by 2 10mm bolts but mine magically were not there I have no idea how they could have come off lol but I found 2 similar Toyota bolts albeit silver ones for the time being and illl try to get the proper part numbers and replace them but the scary thing is there’s no possible way they could have come off on their own lol
and no my friend just had a big check in bag I thought it had somehow knocked it out but if it was bolted on correctly that couldn’t have happened
