I have to wonder if people hear noises first or do they hear about others" issues" and then it's on...

You will have the same issues, HPFPs will leak, tube seals will leak, valley plate will leak, arms will wear, actuator will fail. Lexus is amazingly consistent for good and for bad.....the wind noise is now showing up more and more on refresh cars as are other other issues.

Sir,

Over the past 15 years I have spent a lot of time, and some money too, helping LS460/600 owners understand and fix their “wind noise” problems. We’ve helped owners in the Middleeast, Europe, Australia and several other countries too.

You are not well informed on this topic if you believe it is subjective.

Thank you for participating in the forum and sharing your thoughts with us.

I had a 2007 LS 460 with wind noise and the jmcraney “fix” (after a couple of tries) worked wonders and all but eliminated the “noise”. I no longer have the 460, went to a 2013 460 and now have a 2018 Ls500. The 2007 was by far the quietest of the 3, after the “fix”. I have read with interest the above thread and how important this was to me when I had the 2007.
One thing I have not seen in the above thread and worked for me as well was the “bump” down of the drivers side window. Several people posted success with this in earlier threads and although I dont remember any explanation as why this worked, some posters above might try this to see if it works for them. The jmcraney method is by far the best and should absolutely be done by anyone with the condition, but I am just offering this as a reminder to try it if you hit a certain frustration level.

Could you please elaborate where exactly you placed that foam? You've said you would post pictures, are you planning to do that? I have similar situation as you described with crosswinds and I'm trying to resolve it. Stuff like "jmcraney fix" already done (done properly), taping, sealing, window bump, etc., tryed a lot of solutions from other posts, I think there is still room for improvement.

Maybe you could provide some more info on where exactly you apllied that foam inside the door? Maybe you have pictures how it looks in your door? I want to try it out, but first I want to make sure where and how it is supposed to be done. I assume you are adding foam somewhere right behind that triangle trim? Any info would be appreciated.

Leading upper edge of the door when you have the panel and everything else off, don't go too far down or you may get water buildup if you block drains
