Major milestone
Our ‘08 has finally hit a major milestone…
Here’s the thread about some of the things the car had done in the summer:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-4th-gen-2007-2017/1004924-time-to-pay-the-piper.html
The dashboard is lit up like a Christmas tree (TPMS and CEL related to O2 sensor), and the engine is burning oil like it’s going out of style, but
overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the car. 6 years and 110k miles of generally trouble free ownership. I hope I’m not jinxing myself, but we’re still on the original brake actuator 😅. Goes to show that not all cars with rebuilt titles are created equal.

Now at 273k miles
As these do get up to higher miles nice to see what actually went into it and how many gremlins show their face with age and miles.
My 12 L AWD is now at 273k miles and posted update at 250k with all repairs and maintenance. I wondering if should update at 275k or wait to 300k which may take a few more years...

Here's another thread that outlined the work that was done prior to this past summer: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...les-later.html
As far as the car itself, it has Navigation/Levinson/Advanced Parking Pkg and Comfort Pkg . Luckily the car has spent all its' life in OH and IL, so no real issues with melting dashboard/panels (although, at this point, if I sink my fingernail in the panel, I can definitely inflict some damage).

Honestly, it'll be tough to get there. The oil consumption (maybe even another leak?) is real. Also, wife is starting to yearn for something newer, preferably from this decade . Another major repair will probably make the car mechanically totaled. But who knows. I've been piling miles on my German Buick like crazy (almost 100K in 3 years). It wouldn't surprise me if the Buick craps out before the LS, in which case the wife will get something new and I'll drive the LS into the ground.
