Default So long! And thanks for all the fish.

Yesterday I traded my 2013 LS for a new Tacoma. I will miss the LS, immensely. The purchase made sense to me and I got a decent trade in value as well as a tick below MSRP on a TRD sport, so I am satisfied, though it is bittersweet. Nothing beats the LS, really. I appreciate everyone here for how helpful you have been, even when you didn't have the answer I was looking for. I will continue to pop in and contribute what information I have from my years owning it. The LS460's will always hold a special place in my heart as do the old Town cars, both amazing rides, comfortable and reliable, that I can't imagine are replicated in anything that has come since they were changed or discontinued. This forum has been a great resource. I may one day return with another Lexus, but chances are that will be a newer LX or GX- when I sat in the new LS I immediately knew it wasn't "it". As the title says.

Sorry to see you leave enjoy the Tacoma. I would agree the LS 500 just does not do it for me. That is why I will be driving my 2010 LS 460L until the wheels come off or they bury me which ever comes first. I am currently 73 so I suspect the later will come first.

Congrats. It's tough to leave the Lexus brand. I too just wasn't excited about the LS500. That's why I took the option that left the brand. But I still enjoy coming back and helping if I can. Good luck.

Yep, I'm going to end up leaving the brand (and my LS) for a pickup truck soon. But my wife's RX will probably keep me coming back here for this excellent resource.

I was a huge fan of Lincoln Town cars, since I was 17. I've had a 92, 93, 99, and 2006. I traded the 2006 for my first LS which was a 2011. Traded that for a WRX, and when the lease was done went back to an LS- my 2013. If they still made the town cars past 2011, I would have probably never been in an LS, lol. I'm a bit of a sucker for an older platform, hence the 2023 Tacoma instead of waiting a month and getting a 2024.

Yes the Town Cars were luxurious boats. I always liked the Lincoln as well. That's the reason I bought the car I did. Still has that floating luxury barge feel.

MY dream car is a supercharged mercury marauder. No Porsche, Lamborghini, nothing like that. Just an old, body on frame, luxobarge. Something about the way those panther's floated down the road and barrelled through turns- just large and heavy. You can throw it into a corner and just feel the massive barge shifting- it wouldn't corner like it was on rails, but it was still so damn fun to do.
