Backup camera comes on while in drive

Did you remove the covers that the storage net brackets hold down on each side ? on the right hand side under the amp there are a few harnesses that are laying as low as they will go. This brake power supply is on the left side but it gives you an idea how water in that are can be a problem.

At first it was happening every few minutes, regardless of the shifter position, when driving at any speed or in park. Backup lights would not come on when it was happening (I was watching my car doing it in the driveway). The next day it was no longer happening at random but every time I step on the brake (when driving or in park). Camera would activate with the brake lights only, backup lights not illuminating (unless shifted in reverse). Sometimes it would stay on as long as I hold brake pedal and sometimes just flickers and goes away. Today it rains most of the day and I was expecting it to go completely nuts. Strangely enough issue is gone and everything works as advertised. Was driving back and forth all day and haven't seen a single glitch. Go figure.

Any updates on this? Checked diagrams - BCKP wire goes directly from navi unit connector (multimedia module, not screen itself), via LS1 (driver's legs area) back to rear junction block connector.

Checked in the trunk and under the carpet in the cabin, found no leaks of any kind, everything is clean and dry. Got some heavy rains again last week, no issues. I guess not rain related. Yesterday temperature dropped below freezing in my area and still no issues. I did found one stored code "B15DB Telematics Transceiver Disconnected" but it was not current and after I cleared it it never came back. Waiting for better weather to dig deeper but as for now everything works as advertised with no issues.
