Default 2013+ led headlights

I'm looking to upgrade the headlights on my 2014 from hid headlights to led headlights. I have checked eBay and most do not come with a module. Does anyone know what I need to do this exact upgrade, I don't suppose it's plug and play ?

Do you mean you want to replace the OEM bulb with LED's or that you want to replace the entire headlight assembly with the LED Jewel headlights from the LS600h? There are many various 12V halogen to LED conversions... but idk about HID to LED?... as far as I know LED's and HID's throw roughly the same amount of light. There was a video Torque Test Channel on youtube compared HID's to other cheap LED's and the OEM HID bulb was the best.

I'm talking about the led headlights that come with the 2013-2017 ls460/600. If that is what you are referring to than yes.

I believe those LED headlights coming with "Adaptive Front Lighting System" only. It is connected to the steering and the headlight has two actuators that point light beam not just up and down, but also in the direction you are turning. All that music has a computer gizmo that controls it. Not sure how HID setup works, they might not be compatible. With that said, there is an adapter harness that allows to install headlights from LS600 on LS460, so there's probably something for the LED unit as well.

I'm not recommending anything but looks like it's possible, this guy is working on an ISF.

I'm not talking about just changing the bulb, I'm looking to get the whole assembly and changing it. I don't care if it doesn't move left and right when turning.

OK, I think I figured this out. The full LED style headlights for the LS460 were an optional extra. They came standard on all LS600h's. So if you have the headlight assembly that has 3 separate "bulbs" and looks like this, then you have the LED option. Seems like the LED versions get auto high beam functionality too? If you have the standard headlight assembly then you have HID's for the low and high beam and your beams will swivel automatically.

Has anyone tried installing these headlights on a ls460 that came with the hid bi xenon headlights ?

The headlight assemblies be expensive, why replace it if your existing lights/assemblies are already good...? So probably not. Especially for the MY 2013+, I like my car how it is :P. I'd imagine it's a plug and play replacement, I doubt Lexus had two different wiring harnesses.

Yes you have a point there on why replacing it but the led headlights just look so aggressive. I'll report back and post some pics when I come around to doing this. From what I have gathered it should be plug and play.

Pretty unlikely that the harness and connectors are going to be the same.
