Default Transmission Problems

Hello ladies and gentlemen! I have a problem with my 2009 Lexus Ls 460. And I am wanting input from my people here in this forum because this is the best forum for our vehicles. When I get in my car and start to drive off, it goes to 2nd but has a rev up before it actually kicks in to gear. Then it will be fine for awhile. And it usually happens when it goes from 2nd to 3rd. Then after I drive for awhile it will go into limp mode until I get my code reader out and clear the fault. The codes I would get with the code reader are as follows P0746 and P0776. I am asking what the forum thinks I should do to get this corrected. I have looked at the video about adding transmission fluid to it because it could be low and needs it but I am not sure. This is the video I looked at (
). Or should I get the pan dropped and change out that solenoid that's associated with the codes. Also my Lexus has around 200,000 miles on it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Your transmission is either low on fluid or it's pooched. Has there been any work on it recently or ever?

The least expensive thing for you to try would be getting a dealer or independent shop to do a simple drain and fill and make sure the level is correct using the required procedure.
I wouldn't get too concerned about the solenoid/s until you're sure the level is correct.

Thank you for the response but as long as I have had the car there has NOT been work done to the transmission. And looking back at the records online there hasn't been any done either. So I believe I will go with your suggestion and get it filled with the correct amount of fluid and go from there.

Make sure whatever shop you pick is aware of the procedure and has done it before.
