Default New Car (TO ME)

Hey Guys/Gals I just picked up an 07LS460 Base, Non Air Ride about a month ago and thought I'd share. I got it extremely cheap knowing that I'd have to put money into the car, but I plan on having it for a few years and it seemed like a fun project vehicle to have. Got the car for $4,000 on FB market place. I've put a little over 4k into the car so far. I've got a long list of thing's I still need to do but first thing I did was took it in to my local trusted shop and had them do a very thorough onceover on her to tell me what is needed immediately. I got the car with right at 209,000 but it drove very well, the car was pretty solid especially for 4k I knew it wouldn't be perfect.

In the first two weeks I had

Diagnostics on engine/suspension
Alignment
4 new tires
Control arms replaced up front
Replaced both valve cover gaskets
All of the spark plugs replaced
one rear strut replaced it was in pretty bad shape, the other is fine i'll get it replaced soon but its $750 each with labor and wasn't NEEDED now.
New Transmission fluid / filter and the instant shudder fix performed (Worked amazing!)
new engine oil filter cover
New OEM low beam light bulbs (fuggin $100 each ouch)

I put about $4k into the car but it drives like a dream, no oil leaking, no dash lights on whatsoever and should be able to start doing cosmetic / interior / audio upgrades now. Black interior, seats are almost perfect the only downside is the driver door panel is gummy and has also been picked on a bit and the dash but I will keep an eye out for a door panel and I have a nice looking dash cover for it coming tomorrow as well.

Car drives wonderful, next will be a huge upgrade to the audio system the previous owner really blew out the factory system pretty nicely but I am an audio guy and would have done an upgrade regardless, and then probably get it wrapped after I get all of the minor body work that needs done. Interior had the stupid sticky dash and they didn't get it replaced with the recall....that is probably my biggest gripe with the car. I've got a nice dash cover coming the person before decided to pick at it as they were driving as well so that was really nice of them! I don't know why anyone wouldn't have taken advantage of the free replacement!!! I am the 4th owner, the first two owners were amazing but the 3rd one is the reason I got it so cheap but It will be fun to restore for sure!

The Day I bought the car.

Congrats. It's a great car. For $8K you have a nice ride. Upgrading the sound system will a game changer. Are you planning on adding tech to the car? The 07-09 didn't really offer much in the way of phone interaction. Looks like you're having fun and enjoying the ride!

I got a LS 460 2010 base model also. The sticky door panels drive me crazy, as well as the middle console armrest (it's worn out). I paid 9.5k for the car, so trying to not go crazy on costs. If you find an easy solution for the sticky panels, let me know!

Thank you
