Hi everyone,
Over the past few weeks I've noticed that when I go to cold start, the rpms do not shoot up to 1500-1700 rpms then die down like normal. They shoot up to around 1000-1100 ish rpms. If I shut down the engine and start it again, it starts normally with the rpms shooting up to 1500-1700 rpms then dropping down. If I wait a few hours and try again, they only shoot up to 1000-1100ish rpms. My initial thought is that one or more fuel injectors are leaking. I do not have any error codes. I have a 2013 ls460, any help or guidance would be much appreciated!

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Mine did that and it went away. Your car will error if it's an issue. You running a clean premium in it? Not all premiums are the same. I run Techron thru mine once a year. It makes a difference.

The car also likes to have an accessories electrical load to idle correctly. You can do a search to confirm or just turn on seat fan or stereo and make sure the climate control is running. This has been discussed here, usually low idle is the symptom. I can see why it’s bothersome, but if there are no codes and the car drives normally, it’s not going to cause any damage. You didn’t mention your miles, that’s helpful as well. An 11 year old car with 70,000 vs 170,000 can tell us a lot.
