All generalizations are false, including this one.

Only because Lexus doesn't use these diffs in many things, Audi has them in every S car and several normal ones so we be benefit from cheaper parts as usual.

Im still entertained how much cheaper my OE parts are for Audi vs Lexus, it's almost unbelievable considering how much more advanced stuff is as well.

fcpeuro or germanautoparts aren't the same as buying from a dealer, of course it's cheaper.

Is there a way to decipher the date of manufacturer by the sticker on a differential fluid can? Can I call Toyota or Lexus and they can look up the number on the sticker? Is there a way to tell just by looking at the sticker? Do the markings on the top of the can tell you anything? Yes, I know the date of manufacture is on the back of the can. No, I can't check it lol.

The sticker has a date of 2023 and I assume the dealer wouldn't sell fluid past its shelf life.

I'm asking because this is what the seller actually sent me. I just wanted to know in case they tried to tell me those labels mean nothing about the age. These cans are garbage though. They are almost 10 years old.

I'm going to contact the seller and if they won't make it right, I'll put in a dispute with eBay.

Sorry, the pics are crooked. I didn't notice when I took them.

The seller is refunding me.

Does anyone know when 08885-03006 replaced the old part number?

Both part numbers show as available at online sources, looks like 2 different fluids by the description. I have never seen dented and rusty cans though

I wouldn't use Ebay as a source for such important fluids.
