Exclamation Airbag swap

Hello,

My 08 LS460 steering wheel emblem (L on wheel) is starting to fade. I see forums where some people try to unglue the emblem and replace it. What I plan on doing is to get a new front airbag cover. Is it difficult to remove the module from the my cover a transfer it to the new one? I haven't removed mine yet but by looking at picture, it looks like it is just 4 bolts holding the airbag module onto the cover. Thanks

The bag is relatively easy to remove I am not sure how hard it is to separate the cover from the bag.

Okay, great. Thanks. My next question would be, if I hit an issue with swapping the airbag- can I just use the new one plug and play or does it need to be set to the airbag computer? Thanks again

I don't believe you need to program it to the car. However, I would make sure to get the exact part number.
