Left side of trunk is squeaking on 2013...
Every time I open my trunk, it makes a squeaking noise and usually when I lower it as well. I have everything torn apart right now in my trunk so I figured I would grease the joints but everything looks fine. Everything appears to be well greased. Do you think it is the actual hydraulic failing?
Maybe I should just grease everything anyway. Any idea what type of grease I should use?

Agree with others about greasing first. Then if it still squeaks, you've eliminated all but the power mechanism. This how many professionals troubleshoot.

Yeah, I forgot to get back to this thread but lithium Molly grease did not fix the problem.
Actually, it's kind of weird. When I first heard the sound, it sounded like it was coming from where the mechanism is on the left hand side. Now when I listen, it sounds like it's coming from the trunk lid itself. It actually sounds like it's coming from the arm that is bolted to the trunk lid.
I only hear the noise when I use the power mechanism. I tried going up and down manually and can't quite reproduce the sound.
