Default Help! 12mm bolt striiped out on head

I was finishing the valve covers and I had an oil leak on driver side. I accidentally loosened the 12mm bolt between the two 10mm bolts On the The driver side near the firewall when i started. I looked up spec for head bolts It said 27 foot-pounds, but it stripped the threads and the bolt is loose. not sure what bolt that is and if I can fix it?? I'm super worried!
below I marked where that bolt is too. Any help is appreciated.

That bolt goes into your cam tower, does it seem to be all the way down in the hole or above where it should seat?

So can you just drop it in the hole and it goes to the bottom or can you feel some threads?

it still tightens some. Just doesn't torque much.

you should check to see what the torque specs are for the cam tower bolts.

If you can continuously turn the bolt clockwise something is stripped, you said the bolt is intact so just going by what you've said the threads the bolt turns in are stripped. how long is that bolt, it must be close to 4 inches long and probably 8mm in diameter.

you're going to have to take that bolt out and verify the threads are good by turning it onto a nut of the same size, check the threads the bolt came out of and go from there.
From the sound of it chasing the threads might not be an option. good luck.

if anyone has the torque, please post it here so I can make sure it gets tightened correctly after fixing the problem. Thanks!

Chase the threads with a tap then carefully tighten by hand maybe you'll get it to snug. If it does can add some blue thread locker.
