Side view looks good. The trunk is definitely shorter but I'm pretty sure this is the LS460L and I'm not sure if the stretch is cutting into the trunk or not... I didn't see the measurements on that.

Awesome. Just awesome. I love that side profile. Engine specs look pretty impressive. It's the ride and handling that I would be concerned with. The interior isn't quite up to par, I'm not a fan of the darker wood, and personally would like to see more wood in and around the dash and concole area. The center console looks nice but not luxerious. For $70k I expect lots of wood and not the black/dark stuff that I can't tell if it's wood or not. Still impressive.
I don't think the LS460, as sweet as it is would make a significant dent in S-class and 7 series sales. But it's definitely cornering the high end market for those that want an Asian name plate. I don't think Infiniti or Acura have a chance to compete in this segment now. At least Lexus had a proven car with the LS 400 and 430. The Infiniti Q has been struggling in recent years. And of course Acura is no where to be seen.

I am very impressed, and Lexus always does an excellent job in design and function...But like RA40 said, the body will have to grow on me as well. I was expecting something a little more in terms styling(I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting...) The height of the dash seems a little high, especially on the passenger side. Obviously, when real-life pictures of the car start coming out I'll probably change my mind.

Yeah, I remember when they had all those variants of the S-class...3/4/5/6...
Now it's the LS that is bringing out new variants, although Mercedes still has a range too.

lol, you should probably do a bit of reading before posting stuff like this... LS is the most sold car in the segment for many, many years now in the USA. It easily outsells S class and 7...
