Possibly, they can launch the new LS with the LS460 first, then add the LS600h a year later with the 500 engine, then upgrade the LS460 to LS500 a couple years later.

Compare the LS460 engine to the new .....
Mercedes S Class which has 5.5 Liters and 382 horsepower. Lexus gets 380 HP out of 4.6 Liters. The Benz will be a guzzler in comparison. The new Benz has a 7 speed transmission. The LS460 leapfrogs that idea with an 8 Speed. The reported under 5.5 seconds 0-60 MPH will make it the highest performance Lexus to date. Yep....They're probably scratching their heads over there in the Faderland right now.....OMG, I forgot to mention that the new Benz is $20,000 more expensive, Ya-Ya............
