I believe the first generation is 1989 - 1994. The second generation is the 1995 - 2000. The 1999-2000 was a facelift similar to that of the third generation 2004-2006. The third generation is the 2001 - 2006. I think the new one is going to do great.

Gen IV= 2001-06
Gen V=2007+
or at least thats the way i understood it. the facelift in 1998 i consider a generation change, ebcause it wasnt just a facelift, there were other changes in the interior as well.
the facelift on 03 was different, as it was ONLY a facelift. i dont consider it a generatiion change.
but thats JMO.
