Henry, thanks so much for sharing your experience. Great write-up! Took me a while to realize this thread had been moved to the new LS460 section. Might still be nice if a post about this thread is in the Car Chat area because you do talk about the ES350 and the whole experience, which was great.

The LS460 is gonna be a great step up for Lexus.

 

ah i totally forgot to talk about the s class. anyway, i did try to compare, but to me the s class looks so ugly from the outside to begin with, i never ever like the new design.

sitting in it, the inside looks so old..... my wife already tease me a lot about the current ls430, saying that it's for 50 yr old (but i love it). sitting in the new s class, i only think i becomes 65 and ready to retire.... the chrome and other stuff inside are just killing me. some people say that looks and feel very luxurious, but to me that's too much. i just don't see comfortable inside at all.... that's just me

the trunk though, i think the s class is a bit bigger. but then i *think* that's a lwb s class (all s class in the US are lwb right?) so i am not sure if that's a good comparison.

overall, at least to me, the ls460 wins hands down as an overall car. keep in mind, that's without the price tag. with the price tag, i probably don't even need to think....

btw, i just read the article again and i have to point out something wrong about it. the new nav system on the ls460 will be hdd base, not dvd base anymore

Lexus had a VIP invitation so that 4 pictures would be posted on ClubLexus for potential buyers?

I guess this would not be a good example of the Toyota lean process.
