Since we didn't have the smart access key fob in our hands (the Lexus execs guarded it with their life), and the car was a pre-production, we had to unlock the door locks to access the trunk. We tried it via trunk release from the inside and also the button release on the trunk itself.

Power trunk open/close that's for sure...i mentioned it above. Power door closers...that is already available on the car. You don't have to slam the door, it will close the rest of the way for you.

As for a full power open/close feature...that would be the coolest feature but i think that's unreasonable. Imagine you're in a tight parking space and you use this feature. Whoops I just dinged someones door. hehe. I think it would cost too much to have sensors measure how far to open the door and such.

The best door open approach (for me) was on my BMW 745i, where the doors had no preset spots where they would "hold," (if you know what I mean). You would open the door, and it would open smoothly to where you stopped opening it, and then it would "hold" right there. So you could open it to within 2 inches of the next car in the parking lot, and you wouldn't worry about it opening further and dinging the other car. (Glad the 745i is gone, though... LOL)
