The laser for the PCS system is behind the emblem on the grill so it would be pretty hard to remove it.

How big is this new 460 compared to the previous 430?

Looks nice and from those pictures definitely NOT a BMW clone...it has Lexus screaming all over it.

I wish I can have that much backseat room in my LS.

Default Seats How Many?

Maybe I am missing something but does the new LS seat only 4? The back seat is taken up by the control console? That would really be stupid to have a long wheel base and only be able to seat 4 people.

The LS can seat 5.

However, if you want the Rear Seat Luxury package (don't know the exact name of the package) which includes the tray table, fridge/cooler, rear entertainment system, massage functions, etc; that will only seat 4.

Part of the luxury feature is being seated with plenty of space like a First Class cabin, not seating three in the back like in the Economy Class cabin.

Actually the latest Lexus PCS system uses radar not Laser.

I think what Tony really questioned was the fact that the LWB LS comes with a mandatory Rear Seat Luxury Package. Some people who opt for the LWB really want all the room back there, including the center. Making the Rear Seat Luxury Package optional for the LWB would've been a wise move.

Oh yeah...

It's definately optional for the LWB. I think it'll be a very expensive option because of all the bells and whistles. I can't remember if someone had an estimate cost. Anyone? I heard a while back that it'll be around $8k...

What band in the spectrum does it use? That would be REALLY annoying if a Lexus following me on the highway with dynamic cruise kept setting off my radar detector.

not sure how much, but i think if it's 8k it's a bargain considering what you get

but yes, it's option on both the 460l and also the 600hl i believe. not necessary stupid option imho, for some people they need comfort in the back, not another seat in the middle

Only this dealer, or have similar events been held elsewhere?

I'm not quite sure which band. But the factory Toyota & Lexus Navigation including the Eclipse units set off the Laser setting of a V-One if you place it within range for some reason.
