I am really surprised to see how poorly the S Class's interior looks in comparison to the LS. I don't care for it's minivan shaped dash, but even the shapes of the seats, and doors looks very, very cheap compared to the LS. Props Lexus.

For what it's worth, I really like the shape of the new S class outside, and I wasn't expecting the LS to look so much better, but wow. It looks bolder, sleeker, more powerful, and more cohesive. The S looks almost goofy to me in comparison.

Thanx for the article & the video, I think the new LS looks great next to the S class. While I agree the front of the LS460 is the weakest part of the new LS, I think it looks it looks a lot better than the S class at all other angles, & the new S front end isn't that great either in person. Can't wait to see more reviews of the new LS.

I liked the look of the new S-class more in person than in the photos. The wheel arches look bad in the pictures, in person less so.

But the LS, I have to see it in person!

I think it probably will come only in that light Alabaster(?) leather interior, & I won't be surprised that it will be available only with certain configurations/package that you choose.
For example, in the 00-03 LS430, the grey wood only comes with ecru leather with the Ultra-Lux & another highly optioned package(whatever they called it). If you pick a package with less options or the base LS430, you get a different wood trim even if you pick ecru leather.

yeah i have a feeling that they will only be available with ecru interior (whatever light white it is).... sucks, but we tried to tell lexus that they need to have blackwood choice for their cars, they dont' think it's going to be popular.... i don't know what to say....

look at the gs, i think blackwood on black interior would be awesome, but they don't make it

Yeah again I wonder what makes them give the ES330 Black Diamond Edition this EXCLUSIVE treatment while forbidding their higher-end cars from getting it. Makes no sense.

i don't know. personally i don't see why it's so hard to make wood trim more "customize"....

keep in mind, in japan, for the sc430, you can choose ANY, i mean ANY of the wood and leather combo. if they can do it in japan, why can't they do it here.... and sc430 has tons of wood too...

Maybe they will have a limited Black Diamond Edition LS460 with exclusive black wood on black leather too
