oh same here. i wonder if it has to do with how the hybrid is designed? just curious
i would say it would make sense to have electric engines work the front wheels and engine back wheels:
- AWD traction
- less powertrain losses
- less weight
- better mpg
So I am pretty sure it will be tied into hybrid system...

is that how the ls600hl is setup though, meaning the hybrid powering the front and the gasoline engine powering the rear? the ls600hl has lsd for front and rear power distribution i believe, meaning the front and back are somehow connected?
Has it been "definitely confirmed" that the LWB will have air suspension as standard? (I hope so. That gives you automatic load leveling which I like.)

As Lexus had often said, the 600hL will have everything the LS460L has PLUS a few exclusive items to the 600 version such as leather-stitched dash, LED low beams, AWD, etc... etc... So, YES the 600hL will have air suspension as a standard feature.

with air suspension and 19" rims. The standard wheelbase will not. I was talking about having both a standard wheelbase 600h and a 600hL would be nice too. The AWD system on the 600hL is a mechanical one. The 5.0 V8 has the CVT and 2 Electric Motors behind it like the GS450h but then there is a power split device to send power forward to the front axles and conventionally to the rear. It will get the power immediately to the pavement and say so long farewell to the Bavarians and Berliners....
