I visited the Taste of Lexus Event in Irvine yesterday and snapped a few shots of the LS460L. Enjoy!

They need to sell those front numberplate replacements for those of you lucky enough to need only a back numberplate in your state .

I agree, it looks great.

Like how they went upscale too with the background, at least from what I could see. That wood trim reminds me of the 2001 LS 430 option...

I assume the color of that LS460L was mercury metallic, right?

It looked like it, but these were "pre-production" units. So, the color may not have been exactly what will be on the production cars.

Nope, the car came within about 2 inches or so. It was close, but the car stopped the exact same distance in all of the demos. Looks to be a pretty accurate system.

No, it's the Black Opal that's only available on the 600hL, that one is dark purplish blue.

Three questions:

1. Was the leg room sufficient in the LS460? There was so much talk that it was les than the LS430.

2. How was the trunk space with the rear a/c?

2. Did you notice if the front vents were osscilating?

Thank you.

1. The leg room was sufficient. To fully utilize the footrest in the back, the front seat would have to be moved forward. If the front seat passenger were over about 5'9" or so, they may be a bit squished with their legroom. But not taking the rear footrests into consideration, there was PLENTY of legroom even if you were 7'5"!

2. The trunk space was indeed smaller than I though it would be. You would be hard pressed to fit 2 large suitcases in there but it could be done. It was quite wide but a bit shallow.

3. Unfortunately, I did not notice. I did have the A/C on both while I was driving the can and while I was on the course with the professional driver, but was too busy having fun driving!!!
