Default Driveline & Price in Japan compare to V12 Century

LS460 in Japan only have RWD, are there any AWD in the US? Even the Toyota Crown Majesta(which is the Toyota flagship sedan except Century) have AWD in Japan. Japan said LS600h will have AWD.
LS460 is even more expensive than Nissan President(which is above Q45 & head to head with the Toyota Century). I think the LS600hL will be even more expensive than the V12 Century. Do you think it is reasonable if LS600hL more expensive than the V12 Century?

Correct me if Im wrong, but I believe the Q45 is the President, and the same 'level' as the LS.

The Q45 is the equivalent of the Nissan Cima, the President is one model up & the top model.

I didn't even know that toyota made a V12? What does the Century look like? Also, if they made a V12, shouldn't they have put that in the LS?

I found pics, that **** is UGLY!

There will be an AWD version of the LS 460 available in the US, which wheelbase we still don't know.

You are correct in that the LS 600h and LS 600h L both will come with AWD standard.

If the LS 600h L is more expensive than the V12 Century, keep in mind that the LS 600h L hybrid engine puts out V12 power at over 440 hp and IIRC the Century V12 (since the model redesign in 1997 I believe) puts out less than that. Also the LS 600h L is chock full of the latest technologies and is perhaps the quietest and most advanced luxury sedan in the world. The styling is also much better! But of course, the Century is used by royalty...

Ya! Q45 is actually the Cima & President is one model up. President has 4 seats opitional which is suppose head to head with Toyota Century. But now it's competitor seems to be the LS...

Actually Century's V12 engine can output more than 400 hp too. But the there is a law in Japan which stated that all Japanese cars cannot output more than 280 hp some years ago. I think the LS600hL should not priced above Century as Century is the true top model which is the only V12 car of Toyota. Also, Century is even a larger car than LS600hL. It is totally built by man but not by machine. Toyota only produce very few Century each year. I know there are Century in Japan, Hong Kong, China & Taiwan. But I wonder if it appear in other places. I have seen some Centuries in Hong Kong, they are really nice. The Chief Executive of Hong Kong uses Century as his "Presidental Car". It is a bullet proof car. Does anyone know any LS is bullet proof?

Here is some pics of Century: http://www.autogallery.com.hk/product.php?id=377

Waaah.

The interior looks upscale with the monitors, cup holders, massagers and luxury features. Heck, it even uses a digital speedometer.

But when you look at the outside, it looks like ****ing **** and is levels worse than "crap".

The exterior looks NO DIFFERENT than those Toyota Crown Taxis.

Gotta give it to you that the Century is an ugly **** on the outside.

However, the stuff that everyone is all excited about in the new LS has been featured in the Century for more than 6 years now.

These technologies have been out there a long time...it's just that it's only going mainstream now.

BTW...Toyota also produced a V10 a few years back...also used in the Century.

And that law that someone mentioned isnt actually a law. What it is, is that over 280hp, the taxes on the cars skyrocket, so the manufactures just list them as 283hp. Same reason the Lancer Evolution had to by dyno'd for the magazines to find out the real hp.

AWD versions will be available in Japan in few months, both short and long wheelbase...

It is ugly as it hasn't change it's look for many many years~
The Japanese pretty like this kind of look, they think it represents royal...
The new LS will best the century in every way except that it is a V8 car...
The LS600Lh will probably more expensive than the Century...
But the Japanese has just intoduced the Century Royal, which cost about 450k...

If they have a Crown, then there must be a King.. But they also have a President. King and President don't really co-exist. Who is the First Lady and who is the Queen?

... J/K.. I can't help it .. it's funny how they name their cars..

Japanese use these names becasue those cars which use these names are the top of the line models. So, they should use Crown, President...
There is a Korean car called "Chairman" which belongs to SsangYong...
