I'm guessing they just unloaded it of the truck?

Ah, that's probably a good reason. I'm also wondering how cars far out in the desert with all the sand blowing around, dust etc. Is it difficult to keep the car well-maintained?

Yes... paint doesn’t nearly last as much as Florida... with the dry heat, and extremely high temps, and the routine sand blasting... its impossible to keep clean... and keep the paint in good shape. Think Pepsi can that’s been sitting in the sun for a very long time.

If I’m not mistaken, the Middle east ones have bigger radiators to accommodate for the heat. Cant imagine how hot the engine gets when its 125F outside, and your parked, with the A/C on. (of course, they measure the temp in the shade... its MUCH hotter when your under the sun, and thats the way everywhere, but the extreme heat magnifies the situation)

I read that the first LS had units left out parked in the Florida swamp for months and months to test for harsh weather conditions...I can only imagine how tough it must be in the Arabian desert.

ALJ in Riyadh inform me the first shipment will arrived in Feb-2007, and if I down payment SR 50,000 ($ 13,300) I will get it maybe in Mar-2007 or Apr-2007,therefor I decide to delay my purchases to 2008 model.

Also they inform me all LWB will have 19" rims, only SWB will have 18" rims.

The prices in Saudi Arabia
SR 280,000 SWB ($ 74,600)
SR 305,000 LWB ($ 81,300)
SR 330,000 LWB ($ 88,000) (with back seat options).

Yes car specs in the Middle East are slightly different. I was told our radiators are bigger. You can see that from the picture, there is an additional opening on the front bumper to allow more air to flow into the engine compartment. Non the less, the A/C unit works perfectly, ICE COLD; SERIOULSY, Lexus is known for that in Saudi. Our LS would be sitting under the burning sun for hours, then I get in the car, turn it on, drive for 2-3 minutes and the tip of my nose and fingers would be frozen, not to mention the tears that would gather up in my eyes. And what more amzing is that in 5 years the AC has never, NOT ONCE, let us down. What a car, what an incredible and reliable car!

Yes, the A/C on Lexus(& other Japanese cars I've experienced ) are great & they never break down. I've heard people complain about W220 S-class's A/C are almost useless in Texas weather. . .

S_Lexus is Correct.

I just shelled out $ 13,300 (SR50,000) to reserve a 460L with a very strange color called "Sable Mica Metallic" (4T5). it is a new color for Lexus.

The official launch of the new LS is the 4or5th of Feb, and they will start delivery the very next day. (fingers crossed).

I know for a fact that no Parking Assistance as they are expecting people to not use it properley and will end up damaging the cars and saying it Lexus fault.

No idea on the dynimic cruse.

Heres an image of the color, I know it looks like brown, but it not.
