Default Deal or No Deal?

No Deal !!!!

My salesman called me yesterday afternoon and told me he will be receiving 2 LS460s (not sure about the "L") He said both were coming in with the comfort package only and will be available on the 19th of October for the Coming Out Party. The price with the comfort package was 67k and change. (This was right in line with the numbers posted by JM Lexus) He asked if I was interested and I said no deal.

I have waited this long and so I figure I might as well wait for what I want. I guess pretty soon everyone will start getting these calls.

Do you take what they have, or do you wait it out????????

what options did you want, if i was in the market for an LS, personally id get at least Navi/ML, the interior just looks much worse without a Navi. Just depends on the options color/color you want. Personally when spending this much on a car, I would rather have the EXACT specs I wanted.

WAIT!!!

Why pay $70k for a car that you'll be unhappy with? Wait or Special Order your car.

When the dealership offers you the demos that will be shown on the 19th, when would you be able to drive off the lot? On the 20th or do they have to keep them for a while?

I don't think it was going to be considered a Demo at that point. I think they were just going to be in the showroom for the party.

You have to realize that after he called me and I declined, he must have called the next person on the list and so on until they find someone who wants that package.

The comfort package is nice, but I have to have the Mark Levinson 19 speaker upgrade with voice recognition NAV.

totally agree. i ONLY want a car that has exactly what i want. time is important but never first priority. only get the car that you want, nothing else (even color) or you will regret

if you need to have ML, then the car they selling you is definitely NOT what you want.

At $67K, I don't think it's the 460L, I think they start at $71K. I would say wait for what you really want as well.

I agree. Don't settle for what is just available for the convenience of the dealer. For the money you will be spending you must get what you really want. Sometimes you have to let your brain take over from the heart! I say no deal.
