Default Red LS460L Sighting on the Mass Pike Today

I was driving East on the Mass Pike this afternoon (around 5 PM) travelling in the center lane and I saw a car coming up the left lane that looked like it could be a new LS.

The first two things that cought my eye were the new GS like lights and the width of the car.

As the car got close, I could tell some lucky guy got his new LS.

He passed me and I moved to the left lane and followed him for a while.

It was a 460L with a NY plate (something like 3103018).

The car was red on black and had an absolutely lovely finish.

The car looks good on the road and really fits in the new design architecture.

The driver was a gentleman and was certainly enjoying the drive.

I could tell the car can pick up speed quickly as he went form 75 to 85 a couple of times with ease, though he did not have enough open space to start walking away from the TL.

The high mount brake light is a nice detail sitting at the top of the rear window.

The sat antenna was not visually obtrusive.

The only design element I am struggling with is the exhausts. I was in my 04 TL which has stylized tips but they do not work as well visually to me on the LS.

We both got off at Route 128 and I did notice the LS listing a bit on the off ramp. I guess the Lexus folks are leaving something on the table for BMW regarding handling but otherwise the car is going to be a category killer.
