Thanks!

A couple of people got behind the wheel and did the auto parallel park thing. It worked at all times except for the only time that (a) I was being videotaped and (b) 80 people were watching...

And by the way, no Executive Seating for me. Maybe on the next LS...

Default Just purchased 460L

Just picked up my 460L last week. It is a beauty.
Color is Mercury Metallic with Black Interior.
MRSP was $85,947.
Options include the following:

Air Suspension with Adaptive Variable Suspension (AVS) and Variable Gear Ratio Steering. (I love the AVS)

Luxury Package (Semi-Aniline Leather, Ecsaine Headliner, Climate Controlled Rear Seats, Power rear seats, Rear-seat side airbag.

Rear Seat Upgrade Package (Four Zone A/C with air purifier, Rear Seat Cool Box, Power rear door sun shades, and rear-seat audit controls (really cool if you happen to be riding in the back seat). Only problem is you can not lock out the rear controls from the front, which I would prefer.

Mark Levinson / DVD Changer with Hard Disk Drive; with 19 speakers, DVD/CD Changer with DVD Audio and DVD Video playback. (Sound system is incredible and worth every cent/dollar.

Lexus Link

Intuitive Park Assist

Advanced Parking Guidance System

Pre-collision system & Radar Cruise Control (I really like the RCC)

18 standard wheels ( I really like these but I may change forTelios chromed wheels).

Nav system (comes standard on the L). (This 5th generation system is fantastic ).

This is my first Lexus. I test drove both the short chassis and the L. I liked the look of the extra length and I wanted to get some of the options that were not available on the short chassis like Adaptive Suspension and Radar Cruise Control.

I have not had time to take any pics yet but Silver with Black was my favorite color combination.

I am also very impressed with the quick acceleration capability. It is nice to have it there when you need it.

Congratulations on your first Lexus (and an LS 460 L at that)!!! And welcome to Club Lexus!!!!

Enjoy your new car!

I had the chance to sit inside an LS 460 L with the Rear Seat Upgrade Package at my dealer's owner's preview of the car, and it was AMAZING.

Just purchased LS460, Obsidian, Mark Levinson & Nav April 30th off the showroom floor.

Lexus configures its LS's differently in Canada, so many "Comfort" features are standard. As a result, the ML & Nav system are available for a very low price.

Traded in '03 Acura 3.2CL-S & '04 RSX.

Personally did not see any value with Parking Guidance, Milli-Wave & rear options, so passed on those.

Congrats on the LS purchase. We have quite a few members from Canada here, always good to hear their experiences.

As you know, when you trade in, discounts become hard to perceive. You're really negotiating for the value of the trades. And on that score, I did reasonably well, or better than book value. LS's are in high demand, so they are going for full sticker price in the Vancouver area, and waiting lists for certain models are growing. I suppose if I was buying without a trade, I could dicker on the price a bit, but not much. Since my heart was set on the aforementioned configured Obsidian, and a similar one was not even in production, I was compelled to grab it now.
