Well I need help with this as well. What research have you done in reference to Lexus' warning on changing the OEM rims? I have CCW on my IS350 and my GS450h. I intended to have some CCW custom cut for my LS460 L, due to arrive within the next two weeks, but according to this big sticker on the rear passenger glass, changing of rim size is extremely prohibited by Lexus (18" on standard models, 19" on touring models). They claim that doing so could damage the car, but I've not found out how, yet.
The only thing I can think of is that it MAY screw with the automated parking feature somehow, I'm not sure. But I guess having the car hit the curb during a parallel parking session could be considered "damaging" the vehicle
It could simply have something to do with the extra sensors in the rims that somehow interact with other safety electronics of the car. During my test drive, I found it odd that the display showed pressure for each tire, SPARE TIRE included!!
If anyone has any info on this warning from Lexus, please shead some light.
Thanks,
Nick
