Does the new LS get a gas guzzler tax for the V8?

I know it's still pretty good with gas mileage, but it's still a V8. I've never asked or researched...

 

no gas guzzler tax on any lexus.

fyi, the luxury tax still exists, but it lays dormant. it is still on the books, but it is 0%. apparently it is easier to ressurrect one day if its still there, even at 0%, than killing it altogether. dont worry, i havent heard any future plans to do this....

 

good to know good to know never heard of luxury tax before, but i did notice there wasn't gas guzzler on my sc430. when i looked at m3 sticker and saw the gas guzzler i really scratched my head

 

luxury tax taxed the amount of a car thats over 35k or something to that effect, easily added a good amount of change to the OTD price

 

Look for Democrats to send a bill to Bush resurrecting the luxury tax (and repealing Bush's tax cuts) quickly if they win the house next month.
