I just went to a new LS launch party tonight( & there's another invitation next Tuesday ) & I've looked at the trunk again. Th trunk of the LS460L with executive package is still acceptable to me, but anything significantly smaller (like that of the GS450h) I really don't know . . . its going to be the biggest car I have, I would like to have some trunk space for a car this size even though I won't need a really big trunk . . .

yeah that's exactly my question. something like the ls460l i can totally live with it. but anything like the gs450h AGAIN, that's going to deduct a lot of points from my score sheet....

not sure if its been mentioned yet or not, but the launch of the 600hl has been pushed back from april to about june

So they have the truffle mica paint for the launch edition LS600hL, I guess that's the reason they cancelled the truffle mica for the LS460 in the US ?

but i thought there was another color specific for the ls600hl? why not use that one instead

That's the Black Opal, I guess they don't want to limit it's availability to the Launch Edition ?

I would take the LS600hL in Black Opal anyime rather than the Launch Edition in Truffle Mica BTW . . .

truffle mica, is that the same color as the 07 sc430 PB edition? if so, i wouldn't touch it with a 10ft pole as well... it's just my 2 cents, but that color is so weird

so you are still all over the black opal huh? i guess i can only make 100% comment when i see it in person, but so far, black is still the color for me

No, the 07 SC430 PB edition is in Starfire Pearl.
I think you meant the 06 PB edition SC430 in Tiger Eye mica ? That one is brown in color, but I think the Truffle Mica is the color you saw in the LS460 preview in the Toyota Museum in Torrance right ? I haven't seen it in person, but I think it's grey with a brownish hue which you can see from some pics.

It looks good in pics plus I like the idea it's exclusive for the LS600hL, just like the Twilight Amethyst Pearl is an exclusive color for the SC430.

I've seen a couple of LS460's in Black on Black , & it looks great. But upon examining the Obsidian paint up close, I am not totally satisfied with it. I prefer a black paint like the Diamond Black offered in the 05 PB edition SC430 with more metallic flakes on it. Right now, my top color choices for the LS460 is Smoky Granite & Black Sapphire, I also like Noble Spinal Mica, all of which I've seen in person

man i am all confused about colors, very retarded here..... anyway, yeah i was referring to the 06 PB, hate that one. so the truffle mica is a bit purplish looking then? umm.... that color is ok i guess

i know what you mean on the obsidian. i had a nighthawk black pearl before on my tl-s, i know what you mean on the flake. maybe i want to try something different, i think more "flat" black looks meaner

Do you know what's the difference between the new Obsidian black paint & the old Black Onyx BTW ?

As for it looking meaner, it would look just as mean with metallic black vs. flat black at a distance & also depending on the lighting conditions even at closer distance. But the flakes makes it look more elegant/upscale up close, makes it more interesting to me.

i have to look at it more carefully, but i believe the black onyx is complete black and no flake / pearl at all?

can't remember the obsidian i looked at during the launch party, but i though i saw a bit of pearl (or at least some reflections when i looked at it from an angle)
